Make a Cigar Box Guitar

This is a series of 6 sessions. You must attend all 6 sessions.  

This series will teach you how to construct a complete guitar out of a cigar box and a 1 X 2 piece of wood.  These are great and inexpensive gifts and are fun to make. This is not a "Fine Woodworking" class, more of a "shoot-from-the-hip" series of discussions. We will go through the whole process including making the body from a cigar box and a neck from a piece of 1 X 2.  You can take it anywhere from there including pickups, sound hole covers, frets,  box corners, etc.  It can be made from as little as $20 in parts to over $60 in parts - whatever you want.  The first night will be mostly discussion on what you need and how to get it, while the rest of the nights will cover a part of the construction and give you some time to work on it.
