Class - Turning Plates and Platters

Students need to have completed the basic spindle turning class.

The plates and platters would be a 4 hour class and cover the fundamentals, design and techniques to complete the project. I would require 2 blanks per student, approx. 8 X 8 inches. The projects the students would complete will be a plate with a rim and a plate without a rim. I will also discuss the use of embellishing techniques to add interest to their work.
