Class 111 - Measuring and Marking (Fall - October)

This course is designed to introduce new woodworkers to the tools and techniques in measuring and marking wood in preparation for hand or machine tools. Students will practice using squares, rulers and other measuring tools. Students will describe the meaning of symbols used in woodworking plans and practice transferring plans, along with the angles, circles, and arcs, from print to wood.

Level: Beginner

Prerequisites: Age 18+

Format: 1 four-hour session

Cost: $75 and $35 SDFWA Membership

Special instruction for this class: Bring pencils, ruler, squares and other measuring equipment you have.  A tool list will be sent out before class. 

Refunds:  Full refunds:  cancel 14 or more days before start of class, or if class is cancelled;     50% refunds: cancel 7 or more days before start of class;   No refund: cancel less than one week before start of class or failure to appear for a class you have enrolled in.
