Veneering is a very useful technique that allows for wide array of complex surface treatments while greatly enhancing the visual beauty of a piece. Students will learn about the types of veneer, substrates, tools and glues. Two veneer projects will be completed: a 4 panel book match and a checkerboard pattern. 


Class Schedule: 4 four-hour sessions


Prerequisites: Introduction to Woodworking or equivalent


Membership RequirementsFor insurance purposes, this class requires membership in the San Diego Fine Woodworkers Association.  Annual dues are $35.  If you are not already a member, please join here.  For insurance reasons, all SDFWA classes require students to be at least 18 years old.


Cost: $450

Refund policy:

  1. Up to two weeks notice: Full refund
  2. Up to one week notice: 50% refund or credit
  3. Less than one week notice or failure to appear: No refund or credit
  4. Class canceled: Full refund

If a class does not have an adequate number of registered students one week prior to the posted start date, the class may be canceled.
