This course provides an introduction to LightBurn, which is the layout, editing, and control software for the laser cutter. By taking this course, students will:
- Learn how to set up and configure LightBurn;
- Discover the windows available in LightBurn screens;
- Understand the functions of the top, right and left menu options and use them effectively;
- Discover and use the “hot keys”;
- Learn where to find help when it’s needed;
- Start a project and use the information learned in the class to create the project
Note: Students must bring a laptop with LightBurn installed. Go to the Lightburn website to download trial software.

Schedule: One three-hour session followed immediately by one hour of optional project assistance.
Prerequisites: Laser Certification
For insurance reasons, all SDFWA classes require students to be at least 18 years old.
